This is our story.

From an early age, Gabriel (now owner) was destined to become a master barber. He honed in his craft at home, skillfully cutting and correcting mistakes for hours on end with friends and family, it became clear that the art of barbering came naturally to him and filled his heart with passion. Despite facing challenges such as pressure to pursue other paths from peers, Gabriel never let go of his dream to become who he'd always wanted to be. He held onto his passion for cutting hair and refused to give up until it became a part of his identity.

 Gabriel realized that it was not just something he wanted, but it was who he was meant to be.

Gabriel's journey to becoming a barber and eventually the owner of his own shop was one of determination, gratitude, and passion. He had the unwavering support of friends and family helping him pursue his dreams which he hoped to pay forward by equipping other aspiring young barbers with guidance along their paths.

Gabriel first came to visit the Barger Barbershop in 2012. After patiently waiting for his turn for almost 3 hours, the Shop was doing walk-ins at the time. Eventually, his time came. Though it felt rushed, he still received an impressive cut! Afterwards, when seeing they were hiring. His ambitions got to him, and he jumped on the opportunity to further his career and skills. He quickly became part of their team.

This was a golden opportunity for him to fully engage himself and gain priceless insights into the intricate workings of managing his own shop someday. Each shift was a chance for him to shine and sharpen his skills, not realizing just how much this commitment would contribute to the fulfillment of his aspirations.

As Gabriel and the owner collaborated, a profound connection grew between them. Each passing day brought new discoveries and insights, enriching their relationship beyond measure. When the Shop's owner faced personal and professional challenges, Gabriel was a pillar of strength, going above and beyond to support his friend. He tended to every client with the utmost care and dedication, often shouldering the workload alone as if the Shop were his own.

After years of nurturing his small business, the Shop's owner had come to a crossroads. Desiring to prioritize his personal life, he trusted Gabriel and wanted him to take ownership of the Barger barbershop in 2014. Becoming the owner of Barger Barbershop was a realization of his childhood dream. Gabriel recognized this opportunity as a blessing to empower and motivate others to pursue their passions. With unwavering determination, he set out to assist aspiring barbers in realizing their dreams. Today, he has not only established a thriving business known for its top-notch haircuts but has also created a haven where his clients feel safe and welcome to share their hopes and aspirations. Gabriel's hard work and dedication have transformed his shop into a nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and inspires individuals to reach their full potential. Gabriel's passion for helping the new generation of barbers succeed extends beyond his business, as he believes in empowering individuals to chase their dreams no matter how big or small.
